Why is Apple so successful?

Why apple?

How often do you hear your friend with the android phone saying iPhone is crap; has limited functions, no direct file sharing, no direct media downloading, limited customizations, and many more but you read on the news that Apple just became a trillion dollars company and now you are in a complete shock. There are many strong reasons for people to love Apple even though the prices are extraordinarily high.

5 REASONS WHY APPLE IS SUCCESSFUL

In tech, an ecosystem is a community of interacting objects like an iPhone interacts with a MacBook, HomePod and basically and every other Apple product. Apple just doesn’t make iPhones, iPad, MacBook, HomePod, AirPod, Apple Tv, Apple watch only but also makes software that makes all Apple products work well together. Store your data and access through any devices with iCloud, set a reminder on the iPhone and it automatically comes to your MacBook. Share photos with ease via AirDrop, AirPlay to stream contents. Continuity of apps in every device. Tether your iPhone’s internet to your laptop. They just work so well together. Apple ecosystem is like a walled garden; everything inside the wall remains inside the wall. The products are useful within the ecosystem. You sink so bad to the ecosystem that getting out becomes unimaginable. Imagine ripping out all the Apple Music library, every purchased app, iCloud data and importing to a new service. It’s like “Once You Go Apple, You Never Go Back”.

In terms of functionality, Apple knows how to create a product that’s really easy to use. Pick up an iPhone and you can use it, without struggling to work out its features. Apple makes products that everyone can use. The intuitive UI makes it function so easy. As technology is advancing, Apple still continues to make a product that works for absolutely anyone using it.

Apple is known to be a consistent brand. They evolve in a way that they don’t disrupt the look and overall brand message. Their clean and modern look and feel can be seen across everything. They bring changes in ‘Apple Way’. The first iPhone and the latest have many similarities just enhanced.

It’s often said that if you want to make an estimate about a person’s financial well-being, you should probably check out the phone he/she’s using. This is one of the biggest reasons why I think people buy iPhones. The story they convey throughout their marketing is a powerful one. It depicts lifestyle, innovation, passion, and style in a way that you eagerly want to be a part of it. It’s like an exclusive club that has millions of members. According to the findings of a new research paper from the National Bureau of Economic Research, owning an Apple iPhone is a status symbol.

They are lying.

Apple is known for its slow approach in hardware design. Unlike many other companies out there, Apple doesn’t rush things out before they have fully developed them. They try to perfect their product. They scrap many models that are deemed not good enough for release. It is said that they were developing the iPad even before the iPhone came out. Apple strictly follows the Mantra that Steve Jobs instilled within the company, that the product has to be something that the employees making it couldn’t live without. Apple doesn’t rely completely on the market research instead they listen to the engineers they hire.

All of these reasons add up to Apple clearly being the most successful company in history.
